This role is part of a large, multi-year enterprise implementation focused on migrating business-critical data from legacy mainframe platforms into a modern, cloud-native data architecture. The program is designed to enable safe, auditable transition of complex datasets while supporting parallel operation and controlled cutover from existing systems. Data migration is a foundational component of the broader transformation, as it underpins integration services, identity resolution, analytics, and operational reporting.

This role emphasizes data correctness, reconciliation, and repeatability, ensuring that migrated data can be trusted by downstream systems and users. While initially assigned to this flagship implementation, the migration frameworks, transformation patterns, and validation practices developed by this role are intended to become reusable assets across future modernization initiatives, positioning the Engineering Consultant as a key contributor to long-term data migration and platform modernization capabilities within the consulting practice.
