What We Do Our Data Solutions teams specialize in: Data Modeling – Creating scalable, intuitive models for analytics and machine learning. To thrive as a Senior Data Engineer at H-E-B, you should bring deep technical expertise across modern data engineering tools, platforms, and practices. Here’s what we’re looking for: Data Engineering & Architecture Expertise in building large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines Strong understanding of data architecture patterns: data lakes, data warehouses, data mesh Experience with data modeling and data integration best practices Proficiency in ETL/ELT frameworks and data transformation techniques Programming & Development Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and/or Scala Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, or Kafka Streams Familiarity with API development and data streaming solutions Cloud & Infrastructure Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of data infrastructure in hybrid cloud environments (private + public) Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines Data Quality & Governance Strong focus on data validation, quality assurance, and automated testing Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and compliance Collaboration & Agile Practices Experience working in Agile/Lean Startup environments Ability to collaborate across Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams Strong communication and data storytelling skills Bonus Skills Familiarity with machine learning concepts and model deployment Experience with monitoring and observability tools for data systems Contributions to open-source or internal tooling for data engineering Join Us At H-E-B, you’ll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and impact.
