Job Description An investment company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to come in and help modernize their data platform. You will design, develop and deploy new features for a large scale cloud data platform, drive the architecture and implementations of a data governance layer, incorporating data quality, data catalog and data monitoring. We need someone who deeply understands legacy data platforms and can drive the modernization here while maintaining business and operational continuity. You will be helping junior engineers grow their technical skills as well. This role will be either contract-hire or full time and is onsite in Los Angeles, Tuesday - Thursday 7am - 4pm. Skills and Requirements 10+ years of experience in a Data focused role (Engineering, Architect, etc) Extensive experience with MS Fabric or Databricks (SME in either) Experience with Airflow (or dagster) Experience with dbt Strong SQL and Python Experience setting up/modernizing a data platform in a live production environment Bachelors Degree Local to Los Angeles, CA - willing to go into office in LA Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7am - 4pm MS Fabric Masters Degree Experience in Investment Management or Asset management industry
