ResponsibilitiesData Enablement & Engineering
\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines to enable key analytics use cases across APAC.\nSupport sandbox environment access and setup, build documentation and onboarding material for data access and usage\nIngest data from internal and external sources, including new vendors involved in warehousing and transport projects\nSupport efficient prototyping by enabling access to well-governed sandbox environments\nSupporting collection of the metadata into our data catalogue system where all available, ensuring data is maintained and catalogued accurately.\n\nUser Support & Capability Building
\n\nServe as regional expert for data platform access, sandbox environments, and engineering best practices.\nProvide tailored support to users with varying levels of technicality, including onboarding, training, and troubleshooting (e.g. help IT users across APAC prototype data solutions, provide guidance on how to query and use the global data lake)\nDevelop clear documentation, templates, and best practices to support self-service and prototyping\nOrganize enablement sessions to scale adoption of the sandbox and engineering practices\n\nCollaboration & Continuous improvement
\n\nCollaborate with country teams, data analysts, IT team members, data scientists, big data architects, and global teams to to streamline data access and reusability.\nPromote engineering standards, reusable pipelines, and modular solutions across use cases.\nIdentify and implement improvements to tooling, documentation, and engineering practices.\n\nProject Delivery Support
\n\nLead or support technical delivery of data ingestion for new warehousing and transport projects\nWork closely with project leads and vendors to define integration requirements and timelines\nSupporting Agile way of working and ensure delivery aligns with enterprise architecture, data privacy, and IT security standards\n\nRequirements\nMinimum 8-10 years of experience in data engineering or data platform development roles.\nStrong experience designing and deploying data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.\nStrong experience with designing and building lakehouse architectures in Parquet / Delta and Synapse Serverless or Databricks SQL (knowledge of Unity Catalogue is big plus)\nVery good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, source code management, code reviews, etc.\nStrong experience in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement;\nExperience with API-based integration.\nExperience in building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management;\nDemonstrated ability to support users with varying technical capabilities, including documentation, prototyping, and enablement.\nStrong understanding of data governance, and architecture within large organization\nComprehensive understanding of the logistics and supply chain industry, including current trends, challenges and opportunities.\n\n
Please note that we prefer to offer a local package for this position based on your current location in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam or India, to handle the role for APAC region. No relocation assistance will be provided.
