Senior Data Engineer

About this role:
The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group delivers technology services supporting the Chief Operating Office, including operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO manages application portfolios and provides technology solutions that drive modernization and optimization across these functions.

Within TCOO, the Fraud and Claims Technology team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support large-scale applications focused on Voice Fraud detection. This role involves developing and implementing scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards and strategic business objectives. It requires strong technical expertise and a passion for data engineering.

In this role, you will:

Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large-scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverablesBuild and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reportingReview and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factorsOversee data integration work, including developing data models, maintaining data warehouses and analytics environments, and writing scripts for data integration and analysisResolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of data information policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of hands-on experience with Hadoop, Kafka Streams, Spark, and ETL frameworks3+ years of scripting and automation experience, including proficiency in UNIX shell scripting and automation of data workflows2+ years of Data Modeling expertise, with proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling for both OLTP and OLAP systems2+ years of experience setting up cloud-native data platforms preferably in GCP or Azure

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive experience with RDBMS and SQL, including complex queries, performance tuning, and optimizationExperience with large-scale batch operations, including processing and scheduling toolsExperience in API development, including designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service layers over operational data storesFamiliarity with data governance, compliance, and security best practicesKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challengesEffective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with stakeholders

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00
