Senior Data Engineer
**Location:** 4910 Tiedeman Road - Brooklyn, Ohio 44144 Senior Data Engineer – Commercial Data Product Location: Brooklyn, OH (Hybrid) **Position Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our Commercial Data Product team. This role is critical in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and quality frameworks using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will collaborate closely with data product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable, and timely data solutions that support the Commercial, Onboarding, and Servicing organization. **Key Responsibilities** + Designs, implements, and supports robust event-driven, streaming, and batch ELT/ETL pipelines using GCP services. + Develops and maintains a comprehensive data quality framework that ensures data accuracy and reliability. + Partners with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements. + Translates business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions. + Creates and maintains technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts. + Serves as a technical expert on the team: assigns tasks, mentors junior engineers, and conducts code reviews. + Designs and implements solutions to ensure the performance, availability, and health of the data product. + Proactively troubleshoots and resolves system issues in all environments **Qualifications** + Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-native architectures. + Minimum 2+ years of experience with event-driven or real-time data processing. + Deep expertise in GCP services, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Audit Logs, EventArc, and Monitoring. + Proficiency in SQL, Python, and JavaScript. + Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. + Strong understanding of data quality principles, observability, and metadata management. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and business stakeholders. + Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development practices. **Preferred Skills** + Experience with Google Cloud Dataform or dbt + Experience with Google Cloud Datastream and Dataflow. + Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and BigQuery Sharing. + Experience with ETL processes across various databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.
