Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Business Digital Organization | Platform Solutions team at Bosch.
In this role, you will help design, develop, and evolve the Cloud Data Platform that empowers our Mobility Aftermarket teams to make smarter, data-driven business decisions.
Your work will be key to building the foundation that enables future AI innovation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term business impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build data pipelines: Architect, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and resilient data pipelines on the Cloud Data Platform.
• Model complex data: Design and refine scalable, reliable, and accessible data models to support advanced analytics, reporting, and AI-driven use cases.
• Drive innovation: Evaluate, test, and implement emerging cloud technologies to continuously enhance platform performance and capabilities.
• Ensure operational excellence: Monitor, optimize, and maintain data workflows and system integrity to ensure high performance and data quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Act as a technical expert, supporting other teams in integrating data and leveraging the platform for their use cases.
• Promote best practices: Advocate for data engineering standards, share knowledge, and enable business stakeholders to derive maximum value from their data.
Education
• A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Alternatively, candidates with proven professional experience in data engineering and cloud technologies are encouraged to apply.
Experience
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure ecosystem and modern data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT).
Technical Skills
• Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Experience with Databricks, Synapse, and Azure Data Factory is highly valued.
• Familiarity with Azure Purview is a plus.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge or exposure to AI development is a strong advantage.
Soft Skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement orientation.
• Quick learner with adaptability to new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Excellent communicator and team player, capable of collaborating effectively in international and cross-functional environments.
Languages
• English: Mandatory (working language in an international context).
• Portuguese: Nice to have.
