Job Title: Senior Data Center Architect

Job Description

A highly experienced Senior Data Center Architect is needed to join an architectural team in Toronto. This full-time role is for a candidate with a proven track record in designing and delivering complex data center projects. The ideal candidate should have led at least two to three full-cycle data center builds, demonstrating expertise from site feasibility and due diligence through to detailed design, construction oversight, and final handover.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver large-scale, technical data center projects across all phases.Provide creative and innovative solutions that align with client needs.Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to produce coordinated deliverables (BIM models, drawings, specs).Manage client communications, technical reports, and presentations.Ensure commercial awareness and discipline throughout project execution.Promote health and safety in all aspects of design and delivery.Contribute to team growth, mentoring, and internal initiatives.Support business development and help raise the profile in the industry.Essential SkillsProven experience in data center design and construction.Strong understanding of design processes, standards, and project workflows.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks or projects.Skilled in Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination.Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.Experience in work winning and contributing to strategic growth.Additional Skills & Qualifications10+ years of experience in the field.Must have led a minimum of 1 data center projects from design phases to completion.Completed Bachelors or Masters in Architecture.Registered Architect (OAA Architect).Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, National Building Code, and International Building Code.Experience with sustainability and delivering sustainable buildings.Project Management experience or certification.Familiarity with the Science, Industry, and Technology sectors.Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work environment with an expectation for leaders to be in the office a minimum of three times a week. During onboarding and training, there will be more in-person requirements to get to know the team and culture. The role involves 8-hour days with flexible start times around 8-9 AM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Toronto, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
