BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group’s existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

What You'll Do
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Data IT Architect, you will work closely with clients to understand their issues, define IT strategies, data architecture solutions, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance.
You will assess solution data architecture and landscape, define target state, and develop roadmaps. Define and drive implementation of technical architectures and proof of concepts.
You will define technology strategies, data architecture solutions and help us design the future, develop, and grow by being exposed to new and complex challenges daily. Together with our clients, you will develop superior digital and technology concepts and architecture solutions as well as support technical implementations actively and on site.
You will work on a variety of technology topics, applying your data architectural consulting skills to strategic technology questions. You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum, plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help you build your skills.

What You'll Bring
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
6-9 years of experience in software development focused on Data & Analytics solutions, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting. University degree with above average academic performance in information technology, computer science or computer engineering. MBA is a plus. Understanding and experience with data management, data modeling and data migration, data ingestion, processing, storage, and visualization, strong cloud experience using data technology stack and practice in data governance, data security and operation. Experience with the design and implementation of architectures for big data, internet of things, advanced analytics, business intelligence solutions and complex corporate technology solutions. Knowledge of data integration & migration, data governance, data mining, data visualization, database modelling in an agile delivery-based environment. Data architecting experience on at least 1 main Cloud Provider in the market (AWS, Azure or GCP), knowledge in additional cloud solutions (i.e.: Snowflake, Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus. Designs, builds, and maintains flexible and scalable data warehouse solutions to support Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting projects. Provides expertise in the creation and refinement of agile technical stories for data architecture and development. Ability to articulate trade-offs and drive high-impact technology decisions on topics including (but not limited to) IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial vs. open-source software. Approaches to managing Architectural debt/gaps, Architecture governance and evolution in practice Microservices topologies, including operational concerns such as resiliency, observability, discovery and routing, security, automation, etc. Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation (facades, strangler approaches, et. al.), chose the right approach to application modernization and optimization Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. asynchronous, data integration, etc. Experienced in Data architecture solution for an Advanced Analytics program (Machine Leaning or Artificial Intelligence), knowledge in generative AI is a plus. Fluent in English, advanced Spanish is a plus. Capacity and experience in dealing with senior stakeholders (internal or external directors/senior executives) is a plus.Who You'll Work With
