Job Description

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the Customer Financial Services (CFS) department. This role involves developing metrics, KPIs, and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, and Snowflake to provide actionable insights for Senior leadership. The position emphasizes establishing and maintaining data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across processes.

Responsibilities

Design metrics and reporting for the Customer Financial Services (CFS) department utilizing a range of tools, including Power Query, Power BI, Access, and Excel.Design and track KPIs across the CFS department and provide feedback and insight to Senior leadership.Build and maintain dashboards for the CFS group that provide insight from a management level and allow management to identify actionable items.Build reporting models that reduce time spent analyzing and building, increase group efficiency, and ensure data accuracy.Identify trends and anomalies in collected data to understand the source of data inaccuracies.Assist in value mapping and designing new or improving old inefficient processes.Collaborate with Chargeback, Credit & Collections, Customer Master, and Rebate managers to provide meaningful reports and project assistance.Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.Communicate clearly and effectively with team members.Provide insight to Chargeback and Rebate groups through data mining and understanding of current trends.Assist and maintain models within the wholesaler monitoring program.Assist in efforts to establish data governance standards, ensuring data quality and integrity, and optimizing processes for maintaining customer information.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, establish data quality metrics, and implement data management best practices.Align with Commercial Excellence on Customer Master data integrity and reporting.Ensure compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems.

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and data governance frameworks with 3-5 years of experience.Knowledge of data quality tools, reporting, and data cleansing techniques with 3-5 years of experience.Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas, with 3-5 years of experience.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or 3-5 years of related work experience.5-8 years of experience in Finance, Chargeback, Credit & Collections, or Rebate.Expertise in Excel, Power Query, and Access.Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases and query authoring.Comfortable learning and utilizing new tools such as Python, Power BI, and Qlik.Knowledgeable with Financial Statements, Chargebacks, Rebates, and Model N.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong critical-thinking abilities to identify data discrepancies and root causes.High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and maintenance.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across teams.SAP experience desired.Chargeback and Rebate background in the Pharmaceutical Industry desired.

Work Environment

The position operates onsite anytime between 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime. The team consists of a mid-level group with one team lead and two data stewards. Interaction with departments such as Customer Service, Supply Chain, Contracts and Membership, Rebates, Chargeback, Accounting, and Plants is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Barrington, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
