**Introduction** * We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database & Analytics Specialist to join our Cloud Platform Analytics team. This role is critical for designing, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions that empower business decision-making. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in SQL with strong business acumen and a passion for data-driven insights. **Your role and responsibilities** * Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for large-scale data environments * Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data models and reporting solutions * Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across multiple platforms * Develop dashboards and reports to support strategic and operational decision-making * Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance data accessibility and usability * Strong communication skills **Required technical and professional expertise** * Deep SQL expertise (query optimization, performance tuning, advanced joins, indexing strategies) * Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data modelling (Kimbal Methodology) as well as experience with BI tools and analytics platforms (Cognos or Tableau or similar) * Proven ability to bridge technical and business requirements effectively * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities * Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Knowledge of ETL Tools (IBM DataStage, Informatica Power Center) * Knowledge of Cognos or Amplitude reporting tools * Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) * Exposure to instrumentation and analytics for product performance * Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, GoLang or Node.js IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
