We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead a complex, fast-paced digital modernization effort, transforming legacy reporting systems into a modern, scalable, and AI-augmented data ecosystem. In this role, you’ll guide a cross-functional team in migrating thousands of fragmented legacy reports and data into a unified, cloud-native architecture built on modular frameworks.
This role supports a major digital modernization initiative focused on strengthening regulatory insight, enhancing program effectiveness, and improving public safety outcomes through high-impact analytics. You’ll play a pivotal role in re-architecting data logic, enabling modular reporting design, ensuring end-to-end data accuracy, and laying the groundwork for advanced insights powered by AI/ML.

Job Location: This position is fully remote within the United States.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the discovery and rationalization of thousands of legacy reports, identifying redundant logic, business-critical content, and opportunities for consolidation
Architect and validate semantic reporting layers and data models that support scalable, reusable, and user-driven analytics
Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to redesign reporting logic from static Oracle OBIEE reports to a cloud-native Databricks + Azure environment
Oversee the migration planning, including dependency mapping, technical specification, and data quality assurance
Work directly with stakeholders to uncover hidden logic in legacy reports and convert it into modular components that are easier to manage, validate, and scale
Design and guide the creation of BI/Reporting frameworks that enable AI-ready analytics and future automation
Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical requirements for ETL development, data modeling, dashboarding, and ML integration
Provide leadership in data validation, QA, and business rule traceability to ensure trust in every reporting output
Serve as the primary liaison for cross-team communication, aligning priorities across business, data, and engineering stakeholders
Work with Project Manager, Data/Solution Architect and Development team to plan and manage Agile Sprints for product delivery.

What you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
7+ years of experience in data analysis, BI solution design, and reporting system transformation
US Citizen or Permanent Lawful Resident (Green Card Holder) preferred.
Employment must be compliant with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance due to Government Contract.
What we’d like you to have:
Demonstrated experience leading or co-leading large-scale reporting modernization initiatives
Deep proficiency in SQL for complex joins, transformations, and validation at scale
Strong understanding of Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, or similar platforms
Experience with data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and modular report development frameworks
Expertise in developing semantic layers, reusable datasets, and standardized metrics across BI platforms
Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for analysis and dashboard validation
Experience modernizing complex legacy BI environments, including identifying report logic embedded in hard-coded systems
Familiarity with AI/ML integration points within analytics workflows, such as feature engineering, output validation, and explainability
Understanding of data lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and real-time streaming use cases
Experience creating automated validation frameworks and supporting ML-enabled QA pipelines
Proven ability to connect the dots between business value, data design, and visual storytelling
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation in modern SDLC for analytics deployment
Ability to coach others in data governance, semantic alignment, and documentation standards for reporting ecosystems

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$89,203.00 - $151,646.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
