In the role of Senior Data Analyst, we'll count on you to:
Maintain and enhance multimodal transportation asset management systemsEnhance data analytics for asset management and traffic monitoringDevelop metadata and other documentation for federal reporting and state business needsEnhance extract, transform and load (ETL) operations of roadway and traffic dataEnhance manual and/or automated workflows and processes for roadway asset feature extractionEnhance artificial intelligence and machine learning processes utilizing aerial and/or street level imagery for roadway asset feature extractionEnhance integration of roadway asset data into GISPrepare complex scripts or programs to automate functions within a desktop or web-based GIS environmentSupport the Department’s Digital Asset Management initiativeAssist with the development and maintenance of custom tools, GIS extensions and applications Provide project management, administrative, and technical supportAssist with quality assurance functionsAssist with outreach and training for data awareness, education, collaboration and program capacity buildingAssist in preparation for and participate in public information meetings and hearingsPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications

Required QualificationsA degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years experience with data engineering tools and languages such as SQL, Power Query, and PandasA minimum of 5 years experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, and MatplotlibA minimum of 5 years experience with data science languages such as Python and RSelf-motivated, detail-oriented professional, ability to multitask a mustProficiency with MS Office including Word and OutlookAbility to handle confidential informationExcellent writing and people skillsStrong math and organizational skillsFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustIn-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data analyticsExperience leading multiple complex data science projectsExperience leading and mentoring junior data scientistsExperience setting the strategic direction of data management, data science practices and technology planningWhat We Believe
