Job Summary

The Senior Data Analyst will lead data-driven decision support across core business functions, with a focus on operations, logistics, clinical outcomes, and resource planning. This role is responsible for turning complex datasets into actionable insights to support the company’s mission of delivering timely and effective air medical transport services.

As a member of Air Methods’ Analytics and Data Science team, the primary goal of the Data Analyst is to leverage data to drive positive outcomes. Responsibilities include creating reporting solutions, integrating, and aggregating data, visualizing, and presenting data, and enabling key decision-making for Air Methods’ products and business operations. 

Essential functions and Responsibilities include the following: 

Data interpretation and storytelling to enable customers to realize goals and improve outcomesConduct data analysis, data profiling, and data extraction from disparate sourcesDesign, build, and automate novel reporting solutions in Power BI and Snowflake Data WarehouseCreate metrics, organize information, and test hypotheses in ways that demonstrably drive increased efficiency for sales, operations, and other internal teamsBring ideas and recommendations to inform strategic decisions and opportunities for the business to growOther duties as assigned

Additional Job Requirements:

Regular scheduled attendance - Monday to Friday with occasional work required on weekends based on customer needs. While the schedule for this role will typically be 40 hours per week, over five business days (Monday through Friday), the role requires the ability to work as needed on weekends/nightsIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling – 10%

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in analytical field, applied math, computer science, data science, or information systems from four-year college or university and five or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience5 years of data analytics experience including visualization, data-modeling, and data-transformation with large, complex, diverse datasets.Strong competency in SQL, including writing complex queries.Experience using Python for data analysis, transformation, and automation.Proven proficiency in data visualization design (Power BI preferred). Consultative skills: requirements gathering, report design, problem solving.Understanding of analytics concepts like statistical significance, correlation, probability distribution, confidence interval.Experience working in healthcare setting a plus

Skills

Experience working with Finance and revenue management teamsExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Computer Skills 

Intermediate with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience with Snowflake Data WarehouseExperience working with basic data science concepts such as A/B testing, Monte Carlo Simulations, Random Forests, Mean Square Error, etc.Strong competency in SQL, including writing complex queries.Experience using Python for data analysis, transformation, and automation.Proven proficiency in data visualization design (Power BI preferred).
