The CEMA team, under Defense sector, at Leidos is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Cyber Penetration Tester to join a diverse, highly skilled team to perform penetration tests on customer systems. This role will support the Leidos office onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.
The position consists of performing live penetration tests for customers and performing deep-dive preparatory analysis for any system under test. The position also includes recommending specific mitigation strategies to the customer for discovered vulnerabilities and testing at multiple stages of the system development/acquisition lifecycle. This also includes offensive cyber tool development for use in stand-alone and network-connected systems. The position is responsible for ensuring survivability and resiliency of customer systems under test, and timely delivery of development updates and after-action reports after each penetration test.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited school in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Technical Degree.
12+ years experience in penetration testing/red teams or related security field, or a master’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Expert in the use of Linux (preferably Kali, Parrot, or similar distros) and Windows Operating systems
Expert knowledge in computer security, whether it be in penetration testing, penetration testing tool development, or other related effort.
Expert working knowledge of and experience with Scanning/Analysis Tools (nmap, nikto, etc)
Expert in use of Exploitation Tools (Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, etc)
Experience with using scripting languages such as bash, python, etc
Exceptional problem solving skills
Candidate must be a resident of North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville/North Alabama area.
US Citizenship is required and at least secret level security clearance with eligibility to obtain/maintain DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience with performing penetration tests, reverse engineering, and/or system analysis.
Prior DoD experience.
Strong communication skills for documenting and relaying findings to customers.
Expert understanding of TCP/IP network architecture.
Extensive experience analyzing into how security breaches and exploits can disrupt field operations in the defense and private sectors.
Completion or work towards GSEC, GPEN, OSCP, OSCE3, CPTS or similar technical certification.
Experience with RF or a HAM radio certification is a plus.
