The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Counter-Uncrewed Systems (C-UXS) Planner and Site Lead to manage a dedicated team of C-UXS specialists supporting USSOUTHCOM’s Protection Branch in mitigating and defeating threats posed by uncrewed systems across air, ground, maritime, and underwater domains. This high-impact leadership role ensures the timely execution of key C-UXS policies, programs, and activities — critical to safeguarding Joint Force personnel, platforms, infrastructure, and operations across the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). As the senior planner and site lead, you will serve as the direct client interface, providing strategic and technical guidance while managing a multi-functional team aligned with mission and force protection needs.

You will also support the below tasks:
Lead and manage a team of C-UXS contractors, directing day-to-day efforts and reporting on task progress, performance, and compliance.Provide operational oversight on C-UXS initiatives and support successful integration into USSOUTHCOM mission sets.Draft and refine C-UXS-related policies, meeting materials, action items, and documentation for government-led working groups and IPTs.Contribute to the strategy and development of C-UXS operational plans, exercises, and policy directives.Support, coordinate, and oversee the execution of C-UXS training events for DoD forces deployed across the SOUTHCOM AOR.Assist in developing and delivering Build Partner Capacity (BPC) programs for stakeholder nations.Prepare and deliver briefings, technical papers, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders including GO/FO/SES leadership.Analyze Rules of Engagement (ROE) and operational policies across the SOUTHCOM AOR, drafting impact assessments and ROE request packages for government review.Support C-UXS technology acquisition (e.g., traditional POM planning, UONs), and maintain a comprehensive list of emerging technical solutions.Develop TTCs and countermeasure protocols, contributing to the Command’s evolving deterrence framework.Submit regular technical reports and tailored recommendations to the J334 Branch Chief and C-UXS Program Manager to drive data-informed decisions.Qualifications:
Required:
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.5+ years of experience in a related field (C-UXS analysis, air missile defense, cybersecurity, or a related field).Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of DoD-level C-UXS policies.Minimum 15 years of military experienceComprehensive knowledge of DoD staffing procedures order to act as the functional point of contact for coordination and approval of aviation, airspace and C-UXS studies and documents.Demonstrated experience analyzing complex technical problems and providing actionable recommendations. Experience must include work in both independent and collaborative team environments.Demonstrated experience in drafting technical reports, white papers, or policy recommendations for senior-level review. Experience must also include briefing technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated experience applying technical principles in one or more of the following areas: sensor technology, control systems, signal processing, or artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders, including military personnel, contractors, and government agencies.Strong administrative skills, including preparation of memos, briefings, reports, and other documentation.Desired:
Previous Joint Command experience.Previous program management experience.In-depth knowledge of DoD-UXS systems: Familiarity with various types of C-UXS platforms, sensors, and payloads used by the military, and their capabilities and vulnerabilities.Experience with C-UXS analytical tools, databases, and assessment methodologies.Data processing and analysis: Strong skills in data processing, analysis, and visualization tools to support C-UXS assessment and reporting. Project management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.Demonstrated experience using data processing, analysis, and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Python, R, JMP) to support technical assessment and reporting.Demonstrated experience applying cybersecurity principles and best practices for handling and protecting sensitive information.Continuous learning: Commitment to staying informed about the latest C-UXS technologies, trends, and threats to maintain a high level of expertise.Joint FIRES & Integrated Air Missile Defense experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
