Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Cost Engineer in Aberdeen, Scotland. This role is offered on a flexible hybrid basis. (3 days in office, 2 working from home). This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. We can also consider a fixed term PSC contract for the right candidate.

Our Upstream team will continue to play an important role in providing energy security. We design, engineer, build, operate and maintain the most complex assets in the world, in the harshest of environments, providing solutions across the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for  

Providing cost engineering support across upstream oil and gas projects, being responsible for the development and control of project budgets, cost forecasting and performance reporting throughout the full project lifecycle. Ensuring Cost Reports are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy, and in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.  

The role may act as the focal point for several project scopes working within a Project Controls Team 

The role is responsible for identifying areas of best practice and driving continuous improvement within the Cost team.
