Senior Cost Accountant

This position reports directly to the US Controller and is responsible for analyzing and managing the manufacturing related costs of Deflecto products. The ideal candidate will have extensive manufacturing experience and be an expert working in an ERP system to extract data to understand cost structures, cost activity, and BOMs. This role will primarily support the US amp; Canadian operations but will also partner throughout the global organization to report on product costs and support various initiatives throughout the year. This person must understand the process of setting/rolling standard costs for material (material, inbound freight amp; tariffs) labor, and overhead within an ERP environment and analysis of actual vs budget.\n\nMUST HAVES: \nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\n5+ years' experience in manufacturing industry and related manufacturing analysis\nAdvanced level experience with Microsoft Excel\nAS400, INFOR MAPICS and Sage Intacct experience a plus\nDemonstrated ability to roll-up their sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity\n\nTrack record of managing deliverables to meet deadlines\nAdvanced Excel\nAbility to think critically\nAbility to travel overnight\nArticulate with excellent communication skills; both written and oral, to build relationships\nAble to work with all levels of management; across divisions and functions\nStrong level of accountability for his/her areas\nAdaptable - capable of working in a dynamic changing environment\nDesire for continuous learning\nMust continuously maintain the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards

Essential Job Functions include but not limited to the following:\nWorking in ERP system to extract data\nAnalyze all pieces of the manufacturing process, including labor, material, overhead, freight, tariffs, etc.\nSupport US amp; Canadian operations while also partnering throughout the global organization\nRoutinely work with operations to confirm BOM accuracy\nWork with outside auditors to provide requested documentation\nAssist in preparation of annual budget and setting of budget based standard costs\nWork with Purchasing and Engineering to confirm accuracy of new item costs and BOM's\nOther accounting, financial or business needs as determined

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
