Senior Corporate Accountant

This position will be an integral member of the Corporate Accounting team in Irvine supporting the monthly close and reporting activities, ensuring correct application of U.S. GAAP, accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the position will partner with Business Unit and Regional finance representatives to provide guidance on various area of accounting as well as compliance with the Company’s Global Policies. This role will allow you the bandwidth needed to learn new processes and other skillsets as you grow with Edwards. We are a team that all pitch in for a perfect work life balance.


How you’ll make an impact:

Perform detailed analysis of complex account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP as part of the overall accounting close process.Identify accounting system deficiencies, recommend process improvements to provide timely, accurate and useful information to ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with systems group to drive required changesPerform month-end and quarterly close accounting activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness & integrity of worldwide accounting close and all related internal and external financial reportingProvide US GAAP accounting guidance and JDE support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas, in accordance with GAAP and company policyTake a lead role in the maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley cycle narratives within area of responsibility and accurately present key controls within each narrative. Ensure all SOX key controls are appropriately completed within area of responsibility. Establish audit worthy evidence and documentation to ensure no significant audit deficiencies are identified by internal and/or external auditDevelop, maintain and update desk procedures documentation as processes change for efficiencyOther duties as assigned by leadership

What you'll need (Required):

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or BusinessA minimum of five years (Or three years with a Masters) of accounting experience

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $113,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).  Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.
