Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. **Job Summary** The Senior Coordinator Transportation works in outbound warehouse operations and is responsible for the management of all orders via the order warehouse management system, email and telephone. This job prioritizes orders based on customer demands and collaborates with the dispatch team to determine optimal transport methods (private fleet, courier, etc.). The Senior Coordinator Transportation clusters orders and strategically issues them to the warehouse for picking/ packing in an effort to effectively manage capacity. This role collaborates cross functionally with sales representatives and marketing to meet the needs of the customer and maintain customer satisfaction and quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Reviews and optimizes customer orders in Warehouse Management Systems before releasing orders to warehouse for picking​. Optimization includes consideration for order weight, cube and transportation route density. + Works with Transportation Consultants and Carriers to confirm routes​, driver availability and their hours of service, along with equipment availability​. + Collaborates with operations team to maintain and confirm customer delivery requirements and any operational needs​. + Ensure all rush orders flow are processed according to standard operating procedure + Follows up on customer requests + Drive efficiency and assist in budget accountability, identifies savings opportunities **Qualifications** + 1-4 years of warehouse coordinator experience preferred + 2 years of transportation experience preferred + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred + Efficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams) + Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow-up skills + Prior experience working with Warehouse Management Systems preferred + 1-4 years of material handling equipment experience (reach truck, counterbalance, order picker) preferred **What is expected of you and others at this level** + Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks + Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility + Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues + Adheres to all quality guidelines + Support warehouse operations as needed _Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply._ _Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
