**Senior Coordinator, Safety** **New Ulm, MN, US** **On-Site** The Senior Coordinator, Safety supports the execution and continuous improvement of safety programs at the New Ulm site. This exempt-level role is responsible for leading safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture across production, warehousing, and support functions. The role collaborates closely with site leadership, contractors, and cross-functional teams to drive safety excellence and operational integrity. Equal access to opportunities is a given, belonging is a shared feeling, authenticity is celebrated. **Your key responsibilities** + Safety Program Leadership: Lead implementation of site-specific safety programs including Life Saving Rules (LSRs), Work Permit Authorization, and Emergency Preparedness. + Compliance & Auditing: Conduct safety audits, walkthroughs, and risk assessments. Ensure alignment with OSHA, EPA, and internal SHE standards. Monitor PPE inventory & coordinate distribution. + Incident Management: Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses. Document findings, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. + Training & Engagement: Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions. Track completion of mandatory corporate trainings and support employee engagement initiatives. + Security Oversight: Support coordination with third-party security providers. Manage badge issuance, key control logs, and site access protocols. + Documentation & Reporting: Maintain safety records, dashboards, and compliance documentation. Equivalent experience may be considered. + 3–5 years in a safety-related role within manufacturing or industrial operations. + Familiarity with New Ulm site operations and SHE&S protocols preferred. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and safety management systems. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. + Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority. **The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
