Siemens Smart Infrastructure are recruiting a Senior Control Engineer/ Control Engineer with experience in the Electrical Power Transmission & Distribution industry to help us find solutions consolidating and enhancing the Nation’s electricity network for a smarter and brighter future tomorrow.
Based at Hebburn near Newcastle upon Tyne the successful candidate will be in a lead control engineer role with the responsibility for overseeing and delivering contracts using Siemens portfolio of control systems to ensure future sustainability of our industry customers.
Areas of Responsibility:As our Senior Control Engineer, you will:
Technically lead industry control solutions and support development of new colleagues. Production / checking of functional design specifications Develop and design control systems solutions. Responsible for overseeing and delivering customer factory and site testing activities. Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on allocated projects. Providing technical recommendations for the pre-sale’s activities. Responsible for technical issues/support on allocated projects Attend internal and external design reviews providing technical guidance.What skills and experience you will bring to the role:
Experience within control / automation background. A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.Desirable:Experience in a similar role involving developing medium to large scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems and communication infrastructure.Good understanding of the Circuit Diagrams / Wiring Diagrams and General Arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.Desire to technically lead on allocated projects and develop engineers for the expanding team.Please note the successful candidate will be required to obtain UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
