Senior Contracts Specialist
Location: Singapore
Eligibility: Open to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents only
Summary
Contracts personnel play a pivotal role within the Project Team, integrating contractual, commercial, and technical expertise to provide guidance across the project lifecycle and the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain organized logs and filing systems (digital and physical) for easy departmental access.
• Post-client contract award: manage prequalification and RFQs for high-risk contracts under PCM guidance.
• Lead negotiations and manage low to medium-risk contracts; support high-risk contract negotiations and drafting.
• Prepare internal approval sheets and secure necessary approvals for all contracts.
• Oversee subcontract management post-award, including drafting/reviewing notices, amendments, change requests/orders, warranty claims, and closeout formalization.
• Support procurement in negotiating purchase order terms and resolving claims.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and transparent work environment across teams, functions, and regions.
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 8 years of relevant contracts or commercial experience.
• Strong understanding of technical, contractual, and commercial aspects of EPC projects.
• Experience in the offshore oil and gas industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with FPSO vessels is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Construction Law, Business Administration, or Economics is beneficial.
• Academic background in Law and Contract Law preferred.
• Professional memberships (MRICS, MCIArb, SCL) are an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English; capable of drafting clear and concise correspondence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High comprehension of contractual language and ability to formulate persuasive contractual interpretations.
