We have a wonderful hybrid work opportunity for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager in East Harford, Connecticut!

What You Will Do:

The Contracts Manager will support the drafting, negotiation, interpretation and management of proposal and contract documents for the Military Engines organization. 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop significant customer interaction skills, improve negotiation abilities and gain complex business experience.  You will be the primary focal for external and internal customers regarding contract issues and interpretation of contract requirements, therefore strong written and verbal communication skills are required.  You will have the opportunity to exercise discretion and work independently as well as provide contract leadership and expertise in developing innovative solutions to complex contracting issues. 

You will be responsible for contracts from cradle to grave (start to contract closeout).  The individual will provide terms and conditions review and advice on contracting rights and obligations to mitigate contractual and programmatic risks.  This position requires significant interaction with various managers within the Military Engines organization and the USG.  The successful candidate must be an independent learner and possess demonstrated team working skills.  You should possess strong document drafting skills, an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues, and the FAR/DFARS. Travel required for this role is around 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of professional experience – including experience with FAR and DFARs, and 5+ years of Government contract management experience is required; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of professional experience – including experience with FAR and DFARs, and 5+ years of Government contract management experience is requiredUS Citizenship required, due to government contracts

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
