Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a highly experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team! In this role you will lead and oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of our airfield/airport project.

This role involves managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing risk, and maximizing value throughout the project. The ideal candidate will bring over 20 years of experience in contract management within large-scale infrastructure or aviation-related projects, with a deep understanding of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks and exceptional negotiation skills.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead the development, negotiation, execution, and administration of complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.Define contracting strategies aligned with project goals and risk profiles.Ensure contract documentation is accurate, consistent, and compliant with company standards and applicable laws.Support the preparation of pre-qualification documents, RFPs, and contract tendering processes.Conduct contract reviews, risk analysis, and recommend commercial positions prior to award.Manage post-award administration, including change orders, variations, claims, extensions of time, and dispute resolution.Identify and assess contractual and commercial risks; implement risk mitigation strategies.Ensure full compliance with contractual terms, project requirements, legal obligations, and company policies.Interpret contractual obligations and provide guidance to project teams and senior leadership.Lead the evaluation and defense of contractual claims and disputes in coordination with legal counsel.Prepare or assess claims related to time, cost, or scope changes, ensuring proper documentation and substantiation.Negotiate resolutions to claims and disputes while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.Liaise with clients, consultants, legal advisors, and internal departments to ensure cohesive contract execution.Provide strategic contractual advice to project leadership and participate in key decision-making forums.Present contract status reports and risk updates to executive management and project stakeholders.Maintain organized records of contracts, correspondence, variations, and contractual decisions.Ensure document control procedures are followed throughout the contract lifecycle.Support audits and internal reviews through proper contract documentation management.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of contract administrators and commercial professionals.Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the contract management function.Foster a collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented team culture.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A Master’s degree or legal background is a plus.Minimum of 20 years of experience in contract management on large-scale infrastructure, airport, or aviation projects.Proven track record of managing high-value contracts and resolving complex contractual issues.Strong experience with FIDIC, EPC, or other international standard forms of contract.In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement regulations, and claims/dispute management.Strong negotiation and communication skills with high commercial acumen.Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to interpret legal and technical documents, and translate them into actionable project decisions.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Professional certifications such as MRICS, MCIPS, PMP, or equivalent.Experience in airport or aviation-related mega projects.Legal qualification or training in contract law.Knowledge of local construction laws, labor laws, and permitting requirements.Experience in handling arbitration or litigation processes.Familiarity with project management software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
