Senior Contract Manager

We are seeking a Senior Contract Manager to manage contractual relationships between Thales and its customers, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers within our Maritime Sustainment segment.

In this pivotal role you will oversee the management of contractual obligations from the capture phase through to contract closure. This includes managing Strategic Contracts and Standing Offers within the Above Water Systems portfolio, working closely with the Legal & Compliance team to ensure adherence to all contractual commitments.

Located centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land your role purpose will be:

Manage industrial contracts of scale and standing offers

Ensure the deliverability of Thales' proposed solution and successful contract delivery

Reduce contractual and financial risks while ensuring successful contract performance

Actively pursue commercial opportunities during the contract lifecycle

Ensure contractual obligations are completed, managing changes and ensure alignment

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours: 

Qualifications in Business, Finance, Law, Project Management, or Engineering

Experience in contract management, legal, commercial, or project management ideally within the Maritime Sustainment or Industrial sector

ISO44001 and/or collaborative contracting experience

Knowledge of ASDEFCON procurement and contract suite

Track record in delivering contracts

Customer-oriented with strong relationship and interpersonal skills

Leadership experience and risk/opportunity management expertise
