Senior Continuous Improvement Leader
Overview: Transdev’s TAS division is at the forefront of autonomous mobility operations, partnering with leading AV technology companies to deploy, operate, and scale driverless transportation services. We are seeking a high-impact Six Sigma Black Belt to lead operational excellence across autonomous vehicle (AV) driving and servicing environments. This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling processes that ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability in AV fleet operations. You will work at the intersection of operations, technology, and field execution, driving measurable improvements in a rapidly evolving, high-visibility business. Transdev is proud to offer: + Competitive compensation package of minimum $100,000 – maximum $124,000 Benefits include: + Medical, dental & vision health benefits - Blue Cross Blue Shield * + 401(K) retirement plans + Paid time off and holidays + Career advancement opportunities Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence & Process Improvement + Lead end-to-end Lean Six Sigma initiatives across AV operations (fleet readiness, depot operations, servicing, incident response) + Identify and eliminate process waste, variability, and failure points in driverless fleet operations + Deploy DMAIC / DFSS methodologies to improve KPIs such as cycle time, utilization, safety events, cost per activity Autonomous Fleet Operations Support + Partner with operations teams managing: + Autonomous vehicle monitoring and remote operations + Fleet servicing (charging, cleaning, maintenance readiness) + Field logistics and yard operations + Standardize and optimize SOPs for AV deployment and servicing workflow + Conduct root cause analysis on operational failures and safety-related events Cross-Functional Leadership + Collaborate with: + Safety, compliance, and regulatory teams + Field operations leadership across multiple markets + Translate complex operational challenges into scalable, repeatable solutions Scaling & Standardization + Develop playbooks for multi-city AV depot operations and deployment scaling + Drive consistency across markets while allowing for local operational nuances + Lead training and certification efforts for frontline teams on new processes What Success Looks Like + Measurable reduction in vehicle cleanliness customer feedback + Improved fleet deployment times + Reduction in incident frequency and operational defects + Standardized, scalable operating model deployed across TAS markets + Strong adoption of continuous improvement culture across operations teams Required Education and Experience: Required + Six Sigma Black Belt certification (ASQ or equivalent) + 5+ years in operations, process improvement, or industrial engineering + Experience in field operations, logistics, transportation, or mobility services + Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with measurable ROI + Strong analytical skills with experience in data tools (Excel, SQL, BI dashboards) Preferred + Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or emerging mobility + Background in fleet operations, rideshare, or rental car environments + Lean leadership experience in high-growth or startup-like environments + Familiarity with safety-critical operations and regulatory environments Leadership Traits We Value: + Builder mindset – thrives in ambiguity and creates structure + Operator-first thinking – understands real-world execution challenges + Data-driven but practical – balances analytics with field realities + Influencer – drives change without direct authority + Bias for action – moves quickly while maintaining rigor Physical Requirements: + Occasional standing, walking, and sitting. + Long periods of sitting. + Primarily office-based or hybrid role. + Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. + Occasional overtime may be required during audits, open enrollment, or peak operational periods.
