We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
In this role, you will:
Installation of Oracle on Linux /IBM-AIX / Sun Solaris / Windows HP-UX.Strong knowledge of infrastructure in general including Operating System, Clustering, Storage, network etcProvide Architecture design and support for development projects from a database perspective.Experience in handling multiple databases medium to large databases (multi terabyte). Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database. Excellent knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.Repair corrupts databases (logical exports and imports, restore from backups). Upgradations, applying new patchesDeveloped backup restore strategies for Hot offline backups. Disaster Recovery planning Implementation Oracle Dataguard.Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC Database , Datagaurd, Exadata , Partitioning Compression, RMAN, ASMM and AMM.Should have excellent knowledge of tools like AWR, ADDM, OEM, SQL Plan baselining, Trace files , tkprof and autotrace. SQLT ASH , expdp / Impdp SQL loader SQL Plus.Knowledge and experience in Oracle Golden gate and basic understanding of VCS is desirable. Hand on experience of PL/SQL coding.Should have experience in developing in DevOPS automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible Unix shell, GITHUB, API development using Mule/Kong framework, Go-LANG, Python and PowerShell with working knowledge of AI/ML technology and tools. Working knowledge of SRE frameworkExperience in working on other databases, like Postgres , MongoDB, SQL Server, Public cloud AWS , GCP etc.Coordinate the implementation of process controls in the team.Basic understanding of Change management process and raise the change orders on need basis.Provide L3 production support – analyse cases reported by L1, possible solutions and fixes.Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage.Administers all database objects, including tables, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.Participate in Production Release and Changes during Weekends. (on a need basis)Focus on managing cyber vulnerabilities onDatabase and Linux infrastructure by automating patching for both RDBMS and OS by applying necessary database and redhat patchesWork on solving complex performance issues on Database by suggesting modification of complex sqls ,indexes,logic changes etcImplement principles and practices for cost effective infrastructure demands.Work with different teams in bank to streamline the processes with respect to databases.Coordinate the Service Management aspect of the services e.g. Disaster Recovery, vulnerability patching of servers, timely back-up and recovery scenarios of servers used for databases.Build excellent relationships with Product, Product Delivery, Change and Operations teams to help create a “one team” approach to planning and delivery for databases.Automate day to day activities pertaining to Databases and os using tools like AnsibleSome careers shine brighter than others.
