Title: Senior Consultant - Corporate Tax

Job Summary:
The Senior Consultant – Corporate Tax & International Tax will support the Director – Corporate Services in managing direct tax compliance, tax provisioning and accounting, transfer pricing, tax litigation, and international tax matters for corporate clients. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on execution capability, and the ability to independently handle client deliverables under guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Tax & Compliance:
• Handle end-to-end corporate tax compliance, including computation of taxable income, preparation and filing of income tax returns, and related schedules liasing with finance team and consultants.
• Preparation of tax computations, advance tax workings, and withholding tax (TDS) implications with higher level of accuracy.
• Assist in evaluating tax positions and identifying tax-efficient structures within the framework of applicable laws.
Tax Provision & Accounting
• Prepare and review current tax and deferred tax calculations in accordance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP, as relevant).
• Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including reconciliations between tax and financial reporting.
• Assist clients during statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits by providing explanations, workings, and documentation.
Transfer Pricing
• Assist in handling transfer pricing compliance, including preparation and/or review of transfer pricing documentation and study reports.
• Review of true up / true down workings, liasing with consultant in filing of statutory forms pursuant to APA.
• Collating necessary information required for filing APA, monitoring Intercompany transactions on period basis, ensuring terms and conditions of APA are compliant.
• Support benchmarking analysis, economic analysis, and maintenance of TP documentation.
• Assist in handling transfer pricing assessments, audits, and related submissions.

Tax Litigation & Assessments
• Handling tax assessments, appeals, and litigation matters of India, Philippines and other Asia Pacific countries.
• Draft submissions, replies to notices, appeal documents, and coordinate with legal counsels where required.
• Track litigation status and support representation before tax authorities.
• Maintaining professional fee budgets, driving consultant engagements

International Taxation
• Assist in analyzing cross-border transactions, including applicability of tax treaties, withholding tax, PE exposure, and characterization of income of group companies.
• Support advisory on inbound/outbound investments, cross-border service arrangements, and remittances.
• Closely monitoring Intercompany transactions, review of purpose codes liasing with consultants on Form 15CB and issuance of Form 15CB.
• Tracking validity of TRC, 10F and no PE, following up with various stakeholders to ensure foreign remittance compliance in place
• Assist in responding to queries related to international tax compliance and reporting.

Client & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day stake holder queries under supervision of the Director.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, legal counsels, and tax authorities.
• Ensure timely delivery of assignments with high quality and adherence to deadlines.

Internal Support & Knowledge Development
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, judicial precedents, and interpretations.
• Assist in preparing internal technical notes, client alerts, and presentations.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization of workpapers and templates.

Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4 years of relevant experience in handling India / Asia Pacific corporate tax, preferably in a multinational corporation, shared services center, or with prior exposure in a consulting firm.
