The opportunity

 

Our CCaSS practice is seeking to recruit talented and high-performing professionals who can draw on their experience to help clients through their Sustainability Transformation and Energy Transition.

Governments and organizations are going through a fundamental transition driven by geopolitical and regulatory challenges, new technology, evolving consumers and decarbonization. As an EY professional, you will bring your sectoral knowledge and experience to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with external clients and to drive their business performance and growth, leveraging on EY’s innovative solutions and transformation framework. Working as part of a high-performing team, you’ll deliver exceptional client service and help leading organizations with their transformation and transition journey.

We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds, ideally with experience in the fields of climate and environmental transition/adaptation strategies and sustainable finance, and we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of carbon/greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), circular economy, climate and environmental risk management, as well as regulatory requirements related to non-financial disclosures.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Lead and contribute to complex projects for private and public sector clients, designing and implementing innovative solutions that drive sustainability and energy transitions.
- Apply your deep understanding of current and emerging sustainability and energy sector challenges, offering strategic insights and ideas to address client needs and ensure successful project delivery.
- Build and nurture strong internal and external relationships, enhancing collaboration and playing a key role in business development activities, including the preparation of high-impact proposals and bids.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, with a particular focus on climate change, sustainability, and energy transition agendas.
- Participate actively in client projects, conducting thorough research and data analysis to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.
- Manage your own tasks with autonomy, communicate progress clearly, and proactively seek guidance to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

- Demonstrate a proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach throughout all project phases, from conception and design to successful implementation, consistently exhibiting intellectual curiosity and a commitment to excellence.

To qualify for the role you must have:
- Outstanding academic background in Sustainability or related engineering fields.
- 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in the energy and/or broader sustainability sector.
- Proven experience in roles involving direct interaction with clients and/or external stakeholders.
- In-depth sector knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Circular Economy, Life Cycle Analysis, supply chain management, GHG Protocol, net-zero strategies, transition planning, climate change & environmental risk management, renewables, energy audits, smart grids, energy efficiency, electricity market, non-financial reporting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Greek, enabling effective engagement with project teams, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Quantitative and data analytics skills and programming experience are considered an advantage.
