What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will join the CIBC’s PBPT Application Development and Maintenance team and you’ll lead the design, build, implementation of solutions that enhance the enterprise applications.

How You’ll Succeed

Develop & Design - Lead the design and development of specifications, develop and build code, perform code reviews. Test, debug, document, and manage changes to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of programs.

Analyzing Business Requirements - Research and analyze business requests and recommend solutions.

Solution Design: Promote awareness and understanding of solutions being proposed by attending project and program meetings, influencing planning, designing, leading and facilitating forums and discussions with business partners, designers, architects, developers and vendors as needed

Coordination - Participate in production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies. Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members. Coordinate change ticket implementations.

Mentor and Coach – Mentor and Coach junior resources and new team members, perform code review, provide technical support to enable the junior team members to grow.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects or activities. Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation. Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate experience: 7+ years development expertise. Experience with Java, JBoss, Oracle, Azure, OCP, devops, Maven, Jenkins, Github and JFrog is an asset.

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science.
