We are now looking for a Senior Consultant to strengthen our Financial Communications offering and support us with our steadily growing number of projects. Overview What awaits you You will lead or be part of several mandates and work closely together with both local and global project teams delivering an array of work for our clients, across a range of industries and markets such as the financial or public sector or globally active enterprises. You will support boards and management teams in high-stake matters, moments that really matter to our clients. Responsibilities Your responsibilities can vary but will include: Building and maintaining trusted relationships; provide strategic counsel and guidance to senior business leaders confidently and maturely on all matters relating to strategic communication, including media engagement, messaging, reputation, issues and crisis management. Build strong and lasting networks with clients, influencers, journalists and prospects. Project and financial management; effectively overseeing multiple dynamic workstreams, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Design and implement communication strategies and plans by crafting strategic, high-quality briefing documents, communication plans, narratives, and positioning messages for clients. Foster talent development by overseeing the daily activities of junior colleagues, providing timely feedback and mentorship to support their professional growth and development. Drive business development by expanding client relationships, identifying potential needs within existing accounts and pursuing broader new business leads. Engaging proactively with key reporters from leading international and Japanese media ranging from Nikkei, Bloomberg and Reuters to a wide number of other media outlets. Qualifications The perfect match To ensure a successful journey with us, you should adeptly integrate your communication skills, such as designing and implementing communication strategies and tactics, while leveraging your commercial acumen and project management skills. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who have: Extensive experience in strategic communications, whether in-house, within PR agencies or other media relations environments with specialization in Financial Communications and prior experience in M&As and/or Shareholder activism. Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects, along with strong leadership skills. Excellent analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to derive insights. A strong work ethic, drive and a focus on achieving results. A deep understanding of the domestic and international media landscape and the global investor audience. Fluency in Japanese, both spoken and written and professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
