What you’ll be doing

The Senior Consultant, Workforce Experience, leads qualitative research initiatives to enhance workforce experience and strengthen culture. The role is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive workplace reviews, managing sensitive interviews and stakeholder communications, and synthesizing complex qualitative and quantitative inputs to surface critical insights. The senior consultant will translate findings into strategic, evidence-based recommendations for senior leadership, enabling informed decision making and sustainable improvement. The Senior Consultant collaborates with HR and business leaders to ensure insights drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.  Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.  

How you’ll succeed

Qualitative Research & Program Design: Design and implement qualitative research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, and structured interviews, to deeply assess employee experience, engagement, and organizational culture. Your expertise in qualitative research will enable you to capture nuanced perspectives and generate insights that inform enterprise-wide strategies.Workforce Reviews: Lead in-depth workforce reviews involving complex and highly sensitive workplace matters, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable legislation. You will proactively identify, assess, and escalate risks and concerns, applying sound judgment and risk assessment principles to support compliance, governance, and ethical decision-making.Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze diverse data sources, including employee feedback, interview transcripts, and large-scale datasets, to identify emerging trends, systemic issues, and opportunities for improvement. Leveraging analytical tools and frameworks, you will distill complex information into clear insights.Reporting & Presentations: Synthesize research outcomes into compelling, actionable reports and presentations tailored to stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Your ability to clearly articulate complex findings will enable leaders to understand implications, evaluate options, and make informed strategic decisions.Collaboration & Strategic Influence: Work closely with HR, business leaders, and internal partners to ensure your insights align with organizational goals and help shape workforce initiatives.
