As a Guidewire InsuranceNow Architect / Senior InsuranceNow Developer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and configuring Guidewire’s InsuranceNow platform for our customers. Job Description

What you’ll do

Lead and execute the configuration, integration, and custom development of Guidewire InsuranceNow for customer implementations, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

Collaborate closely with consultants, business analysts, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using advanced knowledge of Java, JavaScript, web technologies, and cloud infrastructure.

Analyze and interpret log files, optimize system performance, and ensure robust, scalable deployments.

Mentor and perform peer code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.

Demonstrate InsuranceNow functionality to stakeholders, articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Manage multiple priorities, proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll bring
Required

Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Minimum 5+ years of experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow, including at least 2 years in a technical professional services role.

Strong background in Java, JavaScript, and web technology development.

Proficiency with Java runtime, troubleshooting tools, and log analysis (e.g., Log4J).

Experience with Apache Tomcat, AWS (S3, PrivateLink, Lambda), and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora).

Working knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Apache Velocity.

Familiarity with software development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitHub) and project coordination tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, Jira).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

Preferred

Advanced knowledge of AWS infrastructure and technologies.

Experience in customer-facing technical environments.

Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
