As a Senior Consultant in Business Systems Analysis within the Global Derivatives Technology group, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving end-to-end project delivery while serving as a trusted subject matter expert in both business and technology. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic and diverse team to ideate, design, and implement flexible, forward-thinking solutions that elevate the client experience. You’ll recommend and facilitate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance existing processes and address evolving client needs. Acting as a key advisor to project managers, coordinators, and directors, you’ll provide expert guidance on technology functionality and utilization, backed by a deep understanding of business dynamics. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ **How you'll succeed** + **Understanding and Documenting Requirements -** Collaborate closely with business partners to gather and analyze complex business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Facilitate solution design discussions by building strong relationships, leading conversations, and asking insightful questions to deliver solutions that meet stakeholder needs. While your primary focus will be on the Rates desk, you’ll also have opportunities to work across other asset classes on this cross-asset risk management platform. + **Solution Design -** Develop innovative, client-focused solutions that address business challenges and deliver measurable value. Prepare and validate comprehensive solution design documents, covering areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution. + **Understanding of Derivative products valuations –** Leverage your deep understanding of financial derivatives and their valuation, including the associated risk factors. Familiar with modeling of different product types including FX, Equities, Commodities, Interest Rates, Bonds, etc + **Leading and mentoring** – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. **Who you are** + **You can demonstrate experience with:** 4+ years of experience as a BSA, leading projects and designing innovative solutions. You have a strong understanding of derivative product valuation and risk models, coupled with the ability to elicit requirements and produce high-quality documentation. Your expertise includes analyzing and interpreting data, conducting gap analyses, and managing stakeholders effectively. You’re well-versed in technology development and testing methodologies and stay ahead of evolving technologies. Proficiency in tools like Excel (pivot tables), Visio, and other Microsoft Office applications is second nature to you. Additionally, your problem-solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational and presentation skills set you apart. + **You have a degree/diploma in** in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or a related field. + **It’s an asset if you** have experience with derivative trading and reporting applications, particularly in Front Office or Capital Markets environments, is a strong asset. Hands-on experience with Python, Agile methodologies, and tools like Confluence and Jira will give you an edge. + **You give meaning to data.** You excel at making sense of complex problems and extracting meaningful insights from data. Your expertise in data analytics and modeling is complemented by proficiency in SQL, Python/PySpark, and any experience with AI and machine learning would be considered an asset.
