Senior Consultant, Advisory & Consulting – Pre-FEED
Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will work within the Global Advisory & Consulting team, in close collaboration with the organization’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. The successful candidate will be leading various offshore energy storage projects and have primary responsibility for the delivery of studies from concept through to Pre-Feed with a focus on offshore energy storage projects. Additionally, the candidate shall support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal/tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Undertake feasibility studies and early-stage design on a variety of sustainable and decarbonization projects both for offshore and nearshore applications
+ Undertake energy strategy consulting work on energy transition and low carbon solutions, including modelling, business cases assessment and market analysis
+ Undertake Technical Due Diligence on a variety of sustainable and decarbonization Mergers and Acquisition projects including conventional low carbon projects, ammonia, hydrogen, renewables, energy storage, interconnectors, geothermal, hydro and biomass for financial investors and/banks, providing clients with details of how technical risks can impact their projects
+ Execute consulting engagements, which include coordinating with cross-discipline teams to develop bespoke solutions for clients
+ Take responsibility for effective project management and participate in knowledge sharing to support the development of other team members
+ Act as and be recognized as a ‘Subject Matter Expert’ in specific expertise in one of the following value chains / applications, such as:
+
+ Gas related technologies (FSRU, LNG, LPG, CNG, Hydrogen) and infrastructure (onshore/offshore);
+ Energy Efficiency and Optimization
+ Nearshore / offshore renewables solutions i.e. floating solar, wind, energy storage, interconnectors; and
+ Nearshore / offshore Green and Blue Ammonia / Hydrogen applications including transmission, distribution and bulk carriers;
+ Conventional low carbon projects;
+ Carbon capture, utilization and storage;
+ Sustainable fuels;
+ Liquids product storage terminals;
+ Gas transportation and storage systems and distribution;
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering and/or Science, relevant higher degree is a plus (Masters, PhD, MBA)
+ 8+ years of energy/related industry experience, with 5 years+ specific to several energy transition topics listed above
+ Proven capability in delivering high-end consulting projects and managing key stakeholders well-regarded.
+ Experience developing energy transition strategy with strong understanding of Energy Transition technical concepts and commercial feasibility.
+ Familiarity with broad ESG ecosystem, including local and international carbon markets, rules and regulations. Familiarity with offshore energy systems design i.e. floating modules, understanding of marine rules etc. will be an advantage.
+ Demonstrate business acumen (ability to grasp commercial feasibility of proposals) and financial literacy (ability to understand basic financial concepts and evaluation methods)
+ Good analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, good cultural awareness
+ Flexible and willing to work extra hours as necessary to accommodate occasional workload peaks
+ Work experience with an industry company, licensor or technical consultancy is a major plus
+ Must be able to travel within APAC region
