What this job involves
The PCM (Project Construction Management) Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects (Green field and fit-out0 within a portfolio, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal teams, managing project lifecycle activities from planning through completion while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Lead and manage Green field and fit-out construction projects simultaneously, developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets while monitoring progress against established milestones and deliverables.
Serve as primary client liaison, conducting regular meetings, providing project updates, and ensuring client requirements and expectations are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and communication.
Develop, maintain, and monitor comprehensive project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction milestones and overall scope completion. This includes creating detailed work breakdown structures, establishing critical path activities, and coordinating schedule integration across all project disciplines and stakeholders.
Oversee project budgets and financial performance, including cost tracking, change order management, invoice review and approval, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, and company policies while conducting regular site inspections and quality assessments.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans and implementing corrective actions to address issues that may impact schedule, budget, or quality.
Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, documentation, and presentations to senior management and clients, including progress updates, financial summaries, and post-project evaluations.
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualificationsDesired experience and technical skillsRequiredMinimum 10 years of construction project management experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility and project complexity
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple concurrent construction projects with budgets exceeding $5M
Proven track record managing diverse project types including industrial, commercial, green field and fit-out
Experience working with major general contractors, design-build teams, and integrated project delivery methods
Experience managing projects through full lifecycle from pre-construction planning through closeout and warranty phases
Proficiency in project management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling platforms
Advanced knowledge of construction industry standards, building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and permitting processes
Proficient in construction documentation systems, drawing review, and specification analysis
PreferredStrong financial acumen with experience in budget development, cost control, change order management, and financial reporting
Expertise in contract administration, including review and negotiation of construction contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements
Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) coordination and clash detection processes
Understanding of sustainable building practices, LEED certification processes, and green construction methodologies
