Position: Senior Construction Manager
Company: Tier 1 EPCM in Mining
Location: 2:1 FIFO ext. Perth to Pilbara Region (10.5 hours/day)
Employment Type: Contractor
Contract length: Initially 12 Months - Subjected to extensions
Role Responsibilities
As the Senior Construction Manager, you will take full responsibility for site construction management, leading a dynamic team of professionals to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This may include responsibilities but not limited to: Leadership & Direction:
Provide strategic leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, aligned with both contractual obligations and organizational objectives. Construction Management:
Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures across all construction activities. Integrated Delivery:
Manage complex or multiple projects by setting clear goals, aligning execution with client and business needs, and overseeing integrated project plans. Problem-Solving & Innovation:
Utilize industry knowledge and internal resources to address challenges, drive process improvements, and support implementation of new systems and tools. Stakeholder Engagement:
Effectively communicate project plans and outcomes to senior leaders and clients, influencing decisions and managing expectations. Team Management:
Lead and develop high-performing teams, managing recruitment, performance, and development with a high level of independence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience: University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. Extensive experience in project management, supervision, and technical roles within construction, particularly in mining or heavy industry environments. Holds accreditation as a Senior Site Executive and Schedule 26 Manager under WorkSafe Western Australia requirements. Skills & Capabilities: Proven ability to lead large-scale, high-impact construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Strong track record in developing tactical execution plans, resolving complex issues, and driving alignment with organizational goals. Advanced understanding of construction, completions, and commissioning systems, tools, and workflows. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
