As a Senior Computer and Network Infrastructure Engineer, your role involves coordinating projects and improvements, ensuring the successful deployment of Distributed Control Systems’ IT Infrastructure (Servers and Workstations, Networks, Virtualization, Software Deployment, and Cybersecurity) for process industries automation (such as Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, and Refining).
In this role, you will undertake project design, implementation, and factory acceptance test phases and will also be responsible for crafting documents developed for our customers within our project team according to agreed planning and functional requirements. You will support the Project Team in completing project-related engineering work and be accountable for the assigned scope.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ To provide high-quality engineering solutions for DeltaV DCS and other Emerson Software, cybersecurity, and industrial automation projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
+ To perform software installation, configuration, and testing based on customer specifications and user documentation.
+ To guarantee the technical accuracy of software and instrumentation, including all related documentation and project work.
+ To implement and test project requirements independently based on technical specifications.
+ To coordinate and manage internal tests, factory acceptance tests, customer site start-ups, and acceptance tests to ensure seamless execution.
+ To support the preparation of project proposals, particularly those related to IT systems and Cybersecurity solutions.
+ To assist in preparing detailed reports for the Project Manager, with an action plan to complete the project on time, within budget, and successfully.
+ To actively share knowledge and guidelines with the engineering team and the wider organization to foster continuous improvement.
+ To identify areas for process improvement, automation, and enhancements in engineering solutions.
+ To adapt to changing project requirements and fulfill other duties as assigned, while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Automation, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience
+ Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in completing IT infrastructure projects, preferably within process industries and having strong technical competence:
+ Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) – Managing virtualized environments, ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and solving infrastructure issues.
+ Networking & Segmentation – Crafting and coordinating VLANs, firewalls, subnets, and industrial network segmentation to ensure secure and efficient communication within operational and information technology settings.
+ DCS & Industrial Automation – Understanding DCS architectures, integrating with IT/OT infrastructure, and ensuring secure and reliable system operation.
+ Windows Server Administration – Setting up and coordinating Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and applying security hardening techniques.
+ Cybersecurity & Compliance (IEC 62443, NIST, CIS Controls) – Implementing endpoint protection, network security policies, and ensuring compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards.
+ Storage & Backup Solutions (SAN, NAS, RAID, Acronis, Veeam) – Designing resilient storage architectures and backup strategies for disaster recovery and business continuity.
+ Firewall & Perimeter Security (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) – Configuring and managing firewall rules, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and intrusion prevention systems for OT/IT environments.
+ Patch Management & Software Deployment – Managing Windows updates, security patches, and automating deployment processes using SCCM, MDT, or PowerShell.
+ Monitoring & Fixing (PRTG, SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark) – Implementing network and system monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve performance or security issues.
+ Automating infrastructure deployment and integrating hybrid cloud solutions where applicable. DCS and/or PLC, System Administration, Virtualization, Cybersecurity, IT infrastructure.
+ Foundational knowledge of AI technologies, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Python), with the ability to apply AI for improving network and infrastructure performance.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Proficient in English with a third European language preferred (written and verbal).
+ Computer literate (MS Office) with software programming skills.
+ Basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and principles, including machine learning, neural networks, and data analysis. Experience with AI-powered tools or platforms is a plus
+ Willingness to travel with a European focus, mainly for shorter periods (up to 25%) as required.
