What you’ll do

The Senior Compliance Manager will be responsible for the design, development and day to day management of an effective risk-based compliance program and culture across the Vodafone Business Group entities (VBG).  They will also need to build relationships with key stakeholders across Vodafone Group, VBG and the Vodafone Business (VB) local market footprint.


The successful candidate will ensure effective implementation of the Vodafone Group mandatory compliance controls in the VBG entities.  They will also identify and implement additional controls needed to manage material risks that are specific to VBG.

Together with the Legal & Compliance Director, develop a compliance strategy/ vision for VBG, and lead the implementation of the compliance programme to ensure relevant risks are identified and managed by supporting and holding to account the local policy champions and control operators.Implement an effective and holistic risk-based culture of ethics and compliance, balancing adherence to applicable law and regulation with the needs of the business to ensure that compliance is seen as a business enabler.Develop and maintain relationships with relevant business, compliance, risk and other stakeholders in the VB and wider Vodafone Group organisations, including the Vodafone Internet of Things and Automotive organisations.Carry out self-testing to identify and remedy any control implementation failures, and coordinate gathering of implementation evidence and internal reporting.Support improvements to internal governance/ processes to ensure compliance of planned new products & services.Assess and adopt opportunities for increased use of technology where this would increase effectiveness and/or efficiency of the VBG compliance function.Who you are Experience leading the implementation of compliance or risk management programs.Experience of successfully navigating complex and dynamic regulatory, commercial and stakeholder environments, ideally in a multi-national organisation.Experience of managing policy champions or similar.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of influencing stakeholder behaviour and delivering training.Fluency in English.Experience of and/or demonstrated interest in tech and telco industries strongly preferred but not essential.Not a perfect fit?
