Senior Compensation Analyst
Ameriprise Financial has an excellent new opportunity for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of compensation strategies that support our business objectives and talent goals. You will lead detailed analyses, provide consultative support to HR and business leaders, and manage core compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational values. Key Responsibilities

Conduct advanced compensation analyses to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across programs. Develop and present actionable recommendations to Compensation leadership and HR Business Partners.Collaborate with compensation team members and HR Business Partners to provide data-driven insights and guidance on compensation decisions for new hires, promotions, and internal mobility. Support business lines in developing compensation strategies that attract and retain top talent.Lead the administration of key compensation programs including base salary, job architecture, and market pricing tools. Own and continuously improve specific programs and processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability.Design and deliver compensation training and resources for HR colleagues, leaders, and employees. Facilitate learning through formal sessions and personalized consultations to build understanding and transparency around compensation practices.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent3+ years of relevant experienceStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems (e.g., Workday), and market pricing toolsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesKnowledge of compensation regulations and pay equity principles


Preferred Qualifications

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Global Remuneration Profession (GRP)Financial Services, professional services or insurance industry experienceGlobal compensation experience

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $72,100 - $124,300 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
