Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed individual for the position of Senior Community Relations Officer - Infrastructure quality assurance and M&E to join the versatile Sustainability Department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Community Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the departmental M&E system and Quality Assurance of all infrastructure development for the department. The role ensures the effective implementation of Community Relations’ infrastructure quality control, M&E, reporting and coordinating, and standard. 

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

Ensure that infrastructure development projects meet required standards and specifications, while also monitoring and evaluating project progress and impact for both community development and stakeholder engagement sections.Support the successful implementation of infrastructure projects by providing quality assurance, tracking performance indicators for the department, and identifying areas for improvement.Lead the development of BOQ in liaison with line Ministries Develop the SOW for infrastructure developmentConduct technical evaluation of infrastructure development- contractual processConduct site inspections and audits to monitor qualityBuild capacity of C1 SMES in gaps identified during on spot and monitoring visitsDesign and develop simple M&E matrix for the department aligned to SDGsTrack project progress and performance indicatorsAnalyze data and report on project outcomes and impactIdentify areas for improvement and recommend adjustmentsCapacity building of CBOs established in M&EConduct assessment to ascertain level of achievements against set indicators Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders in Planning, Project identification and Implementation

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure, quality assurance and M&E

Strong computer Skills (MS Office, SAP, GIS, or equivalent systems).

Valid Zambian driver’s license

Experience managing diverse teams and contractors 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and coordination skills

Bachelor’s degree in project management/M&E added advantage
