We’re currently hiring a Senior Communications Specialist to provide communications and outreach support for client(s) SBIR/STTR program(s).
The ICF team provides communications and marketing support to various federal agencies. Our work includes message development, collateral development, social media, stakeholder engagement, email marketing, and ongoing evaluation of efforts.
The SBIR program is a congressionally mandated set-aside program for domestic small business concerns to engage in Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) that has the potential for commercialization.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Research and maintain a comprehensive contact database of local and regional stakeholders.
+ Cultivate and maintain bidirectional relationships with key stakeholders including state bio associations, small business accelerators, etc. to share best practices and lessons learned and ensure community needs are met
+ Lead the development of innovative strategies and solutions to foster interactive collaboration and communications with the biotech community on critical issues for success
+ Build and manage a private online community to engage with key stakeholders, facilitate peer learning, and foster positive relationships
+ Develop and execute biomedical research marketing and communication plans and strategies.
+ Ensure communication tasks are delivered in a strategic way to benefit the client and intended audiences.
+ Ensure all projects meet internal and external deadlines.
+ Manage and track client deliverables and deadlines using SharePoint, Trello, Teams, and other project management tools.
+ Review and approve agendas, briefings, presentations, and other communications tools.
+ Effectively organize and communicate ideas for maximum impact.
+ Provide subject matter expertise in the area of communications and messaging.
+ Employ the full range of communications tools including digital, web, social, visual, presentations, and videos.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 10+ years experience in communications
+ 5+ years experience in project management
+ 1+ year of experience in SBIR Programs, STTR, or incubator and/or accelerator coordinator experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Federal government/public health experience
**Professional Skills:**
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ High-level of organization and attention to detail
+ Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams as well as digital platforms including WebEx, Drupal, GovDelivery, Slack, etc.

**Pay Range** - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$89,203.00 - $151,646.00
