We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Account Manager in the insurance industry. This position can be based in either Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta.
Our client is an independent, Canadian owned, national, full-service commercial insurance brokerage. With offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.
The Sr. Commercial Account Manager is considered a leadership and project management role especially if the client size or complexity doesn’t warrant an Internal Account Executive in addition to the role and responsibilities of a Commercial Account Manager.
Senior Commercial Account Manager responsibilities:
Pre-renewal activities, customer updates, marketing and renewal presentations On renewal and with new accounts, reviewing the client's current coverage and exposures, and assessing their commercial insurance needs. Prepare submissions for marketing purposes, negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters, and communicate binding instructions. Managing the account documentation including quotes, endorsements, statement of values. Design, prepare and participate in presentations for clients. Cross-sell other products and services to existing clients. Work closely with both External and Internal Commercial Account Executives. Build and maintain a strong, proactive and positive relationship with underwriters. Liaise with our billing department and processing team. Ensure agency bill accounts are collected and do not incur bad debts. Identify and flag any problems on potential lost accounts before occurrence. Supervise, mentor and coach the Client Service Representatives, and Commercial Account Technicians assigned to your book of business. Support and contribute to the transparent, inclusive, and achievement -oriented team culture. Participate in ongoing professional development and training courses. Contribute to the design of in-house training programs and best practices. Attend & participate and at times lead in daily huddles, weekly meetings, general staff meetings, company functions, and other industry events. Contributions to strategic planning, Team development and ongoing HR strategy. Assist in development, design and maintenance of on-going industry content communications training for clients/prospective clients, educational and promotional purposes.
The successful candidate has:
7+ years of commercial insurance experience. Level Two Alberta General Insurance License. CRM, CIP and/or CAIB designation is an asset
Compensation and benefits:
The discussed salary range is competitive depending on experience. Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered. Comprehensive benefits package along with RSP matching and profit sharing.
