Senior Collections Specialist
Job Title: Sr. Collections Specialist Job Description Lead customer credit evaluations and risk assessments, balancing sound financial controls with long-term customer relationships. Partner closely with customers and sales stakeholders to proactively manage credit limits, exposure, and payment expectations. Monitor customer accounts for trends or exceptions, providing thoughtful recommendations and solutions to leadership. Responsibilities + Serve as a trusted escalation point for credit holds, working collaboratively to resolve issues and support business continuity. + Manage complex collections through relationship-based communication, focusing on resolution rather than enforcement. + Resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure accuracy and timely correction. + Maintain high-quality reporting and analysis to support visibility into receivables, risk, and customer health. + Act as a primary point of contact for customer documentation needs, including vendor setup, tax information, and insurance requirements. + Provide leadership within the team through mentoring, training, and coverage support to ensure consistent service levels. + Drive continuous improvement through process refinement, system enhancements, acquisition integration, and adherence to SOX and internal reconciliation processes. Essential Skills + Must have 2+ years of B2B collections experience with a strong focus on relationship management with customers. + 2+ years of experience utilizing an ERP system. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 4+ years of B2B collections experience is preferred. + 1+ years of intermediate Excel experience. + Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Work Environment The candidate can choose one day per week to work from home, typically on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
