CORE RESPONSIBILITIES-
Collaborate with the Design Director to create innovative, brand-right, and cost-effective footwear designs guiding concepts from initial storytelling through to technical development.Work closely with Product Line Management and Product Development to shape line plans and briefs that meet business objectives, reflect brand identity, and resonate with consumers’ style and performance expectations.Ensure timely delivery of all design solutions by adhering to the seasonal calendar and product deadlines.Continuously research and analyze fashion, color, material, and marketplace trends translating insights into fresh and forward-thinking product ideas.Explore and apply current material innovations, graphic applications, and color palettes to elevate seasonal assortments.Partner with development teams in the U.S. and Asia to manage timelines and track progress, ensuring all samples and prototypes align with tech packs.Participate in prototype reviews and ensure samples accurately reflect design intent.Travel twice a year to Asia for hands-on development collaboration and trend shopping.Contribute to special projects as assigned.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-

This position does not have direct reports.REQUIREMENTS-
Strong sketching ability with a keen eye for proportion, detail, and clarity in communicating design intent.Solid understanding of the footwear production process at the factory level.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-
Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in footwear design with knowledge of construction, development processes, and materials.The pay range for this role is $135,000-$140,000.
