Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. This role is pivotal in designing and managing cutting-edge cloud networking solutions with a focus on Azure and its integration with on-premises data centers. You will play a critical role in shaping our network architecture by leveraging infrastructure as code (IaC) to deliver secure, scalable, and automated networking solutions across hybrid environments.
In this position, you will be responsible for creating robust, high-performing network designs that support the connectivity and operational needs of our enterprise. Your expertise in Azure networking services, WAN engineering, and on-premises network infrastructure will ensure seamless integration of our cloud and legacy environments. By adopting modern practices such as IaC and automation, you will enable agility and operational excellence while maintaining strong network security and reliability.
As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Security teams, and Network Operations, to deliver cohesive and innovative network solutions that align with business objectives. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices for modern cloud networking
Job ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement Azure-based network solutions, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, VPNs, ExpressRoute, load balancers, and private link services.Optimize WAN connectivity to ensure secure, low-latency, and highly available communication between cloud environments and on-premises data centers.Automate network infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools, adhering to GitOps, declarative infrastructure, and automation-first principles.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud networking requirements into broader CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance and reliability, implementing proactive measures to prevent disruptions.Develop and maintain secure network designs by implementing advanced security configurations, including Azure Firewall, Web Application Gateway, DDoS protection, and zero-trust network models.Partner with on-premises network engineers to design and maintain hybrid connectivity, including switching, routing, and firewall configurations across vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration templates, and operational guidelines.Stay informed on the latest cloud networking features, trends, and best practices to ensure innovative and future-proof solutions.Mentor and guide junior engineers to enhance team capabilities and promote best practices in cloud networking.
