Our team is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join us in supporting our great nation and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) development team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Design and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure primarily using Microsoft Azure with some secondary work in AWSProvision infrastructure in the cloud with TerraformMonitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliabilityCollaborate with development, data, and security teams to support cloud-native applications and servicesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and servicesWork Environment:

Required:
Security Clearance: Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI SI/TK, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtainCompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 qualificationEducation: B.S. in Computer Science. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience or certification2+ years of experience provisioning Infrastructure in Azure using Terraform3+ years of experience with Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version controlWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and ContainerizationUnderstanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworksAbility to research and solve complex technical problems independentlyDesired:
Cloud Certifications such as:Azure Solutions Architect ExpertAzure Administrator AssociateAWS Certified Cloud PractitionerAWS Certified Solutions ArchitectExperience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and air-gapped deploymentsExperience building GitLab CI/CD pipelinesExperience deploying helm chartsExperience containerizing applicationsBasic Compensation: $115,200 - $172,800 (For the Colorado Springs Area Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
