You Are:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Lead to architect and drive the strategic direction of a high-impact Operations (Ops) initiative. This role demands deep technical expertise in AWS, DevOps methodologies, and Java microservices, coupled with strong leadership in incident management, system troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

The opportunity:

Hybrid: In office/remote

·       Architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems on AWS.

·       Lead DevOps strategy, CI/CD pipeline design, and infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.

·       Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortem processes to ensure rapid recovery and continuous improvement.

·       Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives.

·       Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

·       Monitor system health, optimize performance, and ensure high availability across environments.

·       Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native best practices.

 

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       8+ years of experience in DevOps, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

·       Proven expertise in AWS architecture, services, and security best practices.

·       Strong proficiency in Java microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

·       Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) and monitoring platforms (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).

·       Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·       Preferred Skills

·       Experience with incident management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, SRE).

·       Familiarity with Ansible, CloudFormation, and Splunk.

 

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Georgia

Compensation Range: $109,000-$164,000

 

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
