Senior Clinical Analyst

Looking for experience with the following:

BI reporting OracleSQLUnderstanding CPT code

Serves as liaison between departmental team business owners, end users, IT, Claims and Clinical departments.  Responds to ad hoc requests for support, reports, and analysis.  Supports departmental management team by providing trending and performance data.  Supports special projects.  Maintains and monitors reporting queues and requests (if appropriate), and internal share point sites.  May participate in full life cycle development by performing requirements analysis, process development and design, and testing using development methodology.  Collaborates with functional teams, as well as with IT business analysts and programmers to develop detailed design specifications according to standards.

Develops and documents workflow, systems requirements, system impact analysis, systems design, process analysis and testing (including reasonableness checks) using software development methodology to provide efficient, cost-effective solutions as directed.Identifies impact of solutions on existing and future systems.  May perform operational activities. Creates and maintains standard related reports using database scripting and BI tools to support operational and development needs. Queries data warehouse and internal databases and prepares user friendly reports according to outlined requirements. Manages small to medium sized projects, system enhancements impacting data management.   Participates in design plans for implementation, produces user documentation and training materials.  May conduct end user training.Provides status reports that give a detailed description of the current project’s progress and indicates time devoted to each task of the project; leads status meetings, creating agendas and documenting meeting minutes as needed.Provide technical expertise to leadership and employees on client-side data reporting and analysis.Identifies reporting needs based on system configuration and workflows and documents reporting requirements and testing of new reports in development prior to implementation to Production.Participates in initiatives or projects that support process improvements, leveraging new system capabilities or the integration of data/other applications into existing systems.Performs other duties as assigned.

Builds analyses and reports using persuasive data visualization and oral and written communication skills that can translate complex analytic findings and concepts to a varied audience of users.Performs exploratory data analysis and data mining of healthcare claims and authorizations data.Designs, documents, develops and rolls out financial, clinical and utilization analyses using a variety of computing tools.Performs adhoc analyses that will vary in duration and complexity.Participates in defining issues to be studied as well as the methodology to be used in addressing these issues.Interprets results and preparation of data findings in easily understandable format for varying levels of the organization.The job duties listed above are representative and not intended to be all-inclusive of what may be expected of an employee assigned to this job. Experienced in an analytics environment or field (epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, healthcare, other).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to forge effective business relationships across functional groups.
Ability to effectively liaison between technical and non-technical groups.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to provide accurate estimates of work effort and deliver results within a committed time frame.
MS Suite power user; Expert level knowledge of SQL, Qlikview, Tableau or similar business intelligence tools, experience in SPSS, SAS, R, Python, MatLab or other analytic tool.
Demonstrated experience working with healthcare medical claims, normalized and denormalized data structures; and will have experience manipulating data using SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SageMaker, SQL, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, SnapLogic and/or other data mining tools.
An understanding of CPT, NDC and/or GPI, ICD, revenue and billing codes is critical.
Demonstrated quality and competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business problems and ability to respond with equanimity in a dynamic environment.
Ability to build analyses and reports and display persuasive data visualization, oral and written communication skills that can translate complex analytic findings and concepts to a varied audience of users.
